Next Midwest Construction Expo & Field Day will be held on
Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1, 2013
Iowa LICA farm east of Melbourne, Iowa
This year we will begin working on the deep water CREP project on the farm. We have been working with Shawn Richmond, CREP Program Coordinator for the Iowa Department of Land Stewardship (IDALS), for the past couple of years to get this project moving. Mark Erpelding, Bruce Barnhart, and Dan Rasmussen met with Shawn, Mike Bourland P.E. for IDALS, and Allyn Hagensick, lead engineer, from Yaggy Colby Associates to go over the project. Everyone is working as fast as they can to get everything ready.
Plan now to attend the field day. We will be needing excavators, dozers, haul trucks, and scrapers to build the deep water CREP project. We will also have areas for drainage machines, backhoes, minis, and any other equipment you can bring. Just as in the past, we will have room for display booths in the building and on the grounds. Watch for more information as we get closer to the date. Let’s make this the biggest show ever. The last 2011 Expo had over 100 machines on display or working and more than 1,000 people attended the two day event.
Everyone is welcomed to attend the Midwest Construction Expo and Field Day. If you have any questions call: Dan Rasmussen at 319-240-2420.
